Dr. David Sands

Medical Director | Pediatrician | Network Coordinator

Dr. David Sands is a highly experienced Pediatrician and the Medical Director of 24/7 Universal Care (UC), with many years of experience in Hospital at Home (HaH) and telemedicine for children of all ages—from infants to teenagers.

A key strength of Dr. Sands’ approach is empowering parents to actively participate in their child’s care. He believes that well-informed parents are essential to safe and effective home-based treatment.

Parent-Centered Care

Dr. Sands trains parents to become confident caregivers for their child’s condition. For example:

Asthma Management: Parents of asthmatic children are taught how to prevent attacks, recognize early warning signs, and manage emergencies at home, reducing unnecessary Emergency Room visits.
Education for First-Time Mothers: Dr. Sands conducts education sessions for first-time mothers, helping them confidently manage common childhood concerns and understand when to seek medical help.

Through this model, families gain confidence, knowledge, and independence, while children receive safe, effective care in the comfort of their home.
